SHB20216 Certificate II In Salon Assistant

This course is designed as an introduction to hairdressing for students that wish to enter the industry at an assistant level progress to either an apprenticeship or institutional pathway studies. The program is made up of twelve units, seven of which can give credit in SHB30416 Certificate III in Hairdressing. There is also a two week component of work placement where students can gain experience in a salon and apply their new skills in a working environment. The training at Parlour Hair Academy is delivered by cutting edge teachers at the forefront of the fashion industry to ensure that students receive relevant training along with a thorough foundation of hairdressing knowledge to build their future career path. Class sizes are small to allow more one-on-one training and students have access to all national and international resources at the Academy. The nominal hours of completion are 330 and the course is competency based. Students are assessed on a daily basis with a final assessment on completion of their training.
